Our Unified Softball Team played hard in the heat. A late game rally came up just a bit short. They lost to Prince Georges County 16 – 12. They are currently playing their second game of the day.

The Special Olympics Maryland Baltimore County traditional Softball Team is 2 – 1 for the day. They have made it into the medal round. They will play their fourth game of the day at 6:30 p.m. weather permitting.

Day 2 of Summer Games is on its way. 6:30 a.m. breakfast. call. Competition for Softball, Aquatics, and Track & Field starts at 8:30 a.m. If you are a family member of an athlete do not forget to stop by Family registration. Family registration runs from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Stop by when you can.

The first medals of the day for Baltimore County were awarded a few minutes ago. Two Baltimore County cheerleading squads received medals. The Intermidiate Cheerleading squad earned a silver medal and the Advanced Cheerleading squad received a gold medal. Congrats athletes.

Credentials, room keys, t-shirts, meal cards, pins, walkie talkies, chargers, and everything else you can imagine was double and triple checked here at Towson University last night. Thank you to Coach Anna and Coach Laura for helping get everything ready. A couple of hours of quiet until over a thousand athletes make their way onto the Campus of Towson University.
